1,000 BNP men join AL in Tangail
About 1,000 leaders and activists of BNP and its various wings joined Awami League (AL) in Gopalpur upazila, party sources said.
The BNP leaders and activists led by joint secretary of Gopalpur upazila unit of the party Advocate Abul Kalam joined AL at a special extended meeting of Nagda Simla union unit of AL on Friday. They handed over a wreath to former AL lawmaker Khandakar Asaduzzaman elected from Tangail-2 (Bhuapur-Gopalpur) constituency.
Among others, Gopalpur upazila AL president Halimuzzaman Talukdar and general secretary Rakibul Haque Chhana attended the joining ceremony.
