GD against KCC mayoral candidate for violating code
A general diary was filed with Khanjahan Ali police station yesterday against mayoral candidate BNP leader Moniruzzaman Moni for violation of electoral code of conduct by using loudspeakers before 2 pm.
SI Pritom Kumar of the police station seized two loudspeakers at 11.30 am while Moni's supporters were campaigning in Phulbarigate area under the police station.
Mohammad Baig, a voter of that area, filed the general diary as a complainant, demanding punishment of the mayoral candidate for violating election code of conduct.
The officerin-charge of Khanjahan Ali police Station said that he would investigate the allegation before reporting it to the Returning Officer tomorrow.
