Attack on freedom fighter is attack on the nation
Satkhira AL leaders say
Satkhira district Awami League (AL) and central leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at a meeting of district BCL unit yesterday demanded arrest and punishment of the Jamaat- Shibir cadres who attacked freedom fighter Sheikh Mohammad Ali Aman and ban the fake freedom fighters body floated by Jamaat.
They said by assaulting the freedom fighter they assaulted 30 lakh martyrs of the Liberation War and the whole nation as well.
Held at the pourasava auditorium with district BCL president Kazi Akhtar Hossain in the chair, the meeting was also addressed by Satkhira AL secretary Md Nazrul Islam and other front ranking leaders of AL and BCL.
They demanded a ban on Jamaat-Shibir politics at all educational institutions in the country and on the so-called freedom fighters' body floated by them.
The fake freedom fighters' body has been formed only to befool the people and malign genuine freedom fighter.
He called on all progressive student bodies to socially boycott Jamaat-Shibir.
The meting also demanded unconditional and permanent release of AL chief Sheikh Hasina and other leaders, lifting of emergency and announcement of schedule for parliamentary election and steps to control price spiral of essentials.
