Drive in Khulna city, 5 upazilas to nab terrorists
Khulna district police launched combing operations from Friday midnight in five outlaw-infested upazilas to maintain law and order during Khulna City Corporation polls.
The upazilas are Digholia, Batiaghata, Dumuria, Rupsha and Phultala.
Several checkposts have been set up at all important places and entry points of these five upazilas where block raids are being conducted.
People are being asked by police over loudspeakers to give information about extremists and terrorists in their areas.
Community policing has been further strengthened and its members have been asked to keep sharp watch and vigilance in all areas so that none can harbour any terrorist and extremist.
People are being requested by police over loudspeakers to extend their cooperation to help arrest of extremists and terrorists, said Khulna Police Superintendent Belalur Rahman.
Similarly, combings operations are going on in Khulna Metropolitan City also to nab listed terrorist, extremists and hardened criminals.
