Acid attack on couple in Magura
A couple sustained serious burn injuries as a neighbour allegedly threw acid on them while they were sleeping at their house at Bhatra village in Mohammadpur upazila in the early hours of yesterday, police said.
The injured couple identified as Awal Sheikh, 48, and Kajol, 33, were rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.
Their neighbour Omar Ali allegedly threw acid on them following a rivalry over a disputed land, police said.
