Ex-UP chairman gets 10 yrs in arms case

A Rajshahi court yesterday sentenced former chairman of Gugripara Union Parishad Dewan Rezaul Karim to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for possessing illegal arms. A team from Rapid Action Bbattalion (Rab) arrested Dewan Rezaul Karim in front of Puba upazila office and recovered a shutter gun from his procession on March 27, 2007.
