It was a different occasion for the children of Shunikatan Pathshala as a team of Japanese junior school students from Kiyoto city visited the school at Baniapara village under Boda upazila in Panchagarh on Monday and Tuesday. During the two-day visit arranged by Hunger-free World, the Japanese children showed interest about our culture, primary education system and day-to-day life of our children. They played with village children, ate with them and performed Japanese songs and observed our cultural show and children's game. The Japanese children learnt a few Bengali worlds and taught village school children some Japanese words. They expressed hope to visit the village again. Since 2006, the school has been run by Hunger-free World funded by Japanese Sheiki Community, whose children provide help here by saving their tiffin money.
