80 Milk Vita staff sacked
Authorities of the Milk Vita Company on Thursday sacked 80 of its employees on charge of corruption, mismanagement and irregularities.
A senior officer of 'Kha' region of the company, seeking anonymity, confirmed the incident saying the employees had been recruited on purely political ground during Four- party Alliance rule. An investigation conducted recently in this regard proved to be true, he said. Of the sacked employees, 24 employees belonged to Baghabari unit of the company, he said.
All were dismissed through a letter signed by the deputy director (DD) of the company, sources said.
Earlier, 387 employees who were recruited on political consideration during BNP-Jamaat Alliance rule were sacked on charge of corruption, mismanagement and irregularities. The total number of sacked employees now stood at 467, sources said.
