Accused snatched from Rab in Patuakhali
An accused was snatched away from the custody of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) by about 10 women at Kalapara on Thursday, Rab and police sources said.
A Rab member named Tariqul Islam was injured while trying to resist the attackers.
Earlier, Dulal Sikder, 35, was arrested with hemp from his house at Badurtali village in Kalapra upazila. When the team members started for Patuakhali with the arrestee, his women relatives attacked them with sharp weapons.
A woman named Khadiza, 35, was arrested in this connection.
