Sultan Ustab begins in Narail town
A six-day Sultan Utsab started at Narail Victoria Government College ground yesterday marking 85th birth anniversary of famous artist SM Sultan.
The programmes include discussion on SM Sultan, cultural function, art competition and boat race.
Narail Deputy Commissioner Md Abdul Kayum inaugurated the celebration in the afternoon. On the occasion a discussion meeting was held.
He was born on August 10 in 1923 at Masimdia village on the bank of Chitra River in Narail town, SM Sultan struggled hard at various stages of life. His works were displayed in different capitals across the world. He got several national and international awards.
