Charge framed against 4 in Pabna, PWs statement on Aug 26
A Pabna court has framed charge against four militants of banned Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in the case for series bomb blast on August 17, 2005 in Pabna.
Pabna Special Tribunal has fixed August 26 for taking statement of prosecution witnesses of this case, court sources said.
Following bomb blasts at a few places of the district town including Pabna Court and Bus terminal area on August 17, 2005, a case was filed in Pabna Police station on that day.
The investigation of the case got progress after police on December 17 in 2005 arrested Nurul Haque Kawsar, the second in command of Pabna JMB.
Following his confessional statement, police submitted charge sheet in Pabna court on October 30 in 2006 accusing JMB activists Nurul Haque Kawsar, Abdul Awal and Hasmat Ali. Another JMB activist Bokul Hossain was later arrested.
Pabna Special Tribunal on August 3 framed charge against the four accused -- Nurul Haque Kawsar, Abdul Awal, Hasmat Ali and Bokul Hossain.
