Defamation case against NBR chairman
Mymensingh Taxes Bar Association secretary Advocate Sadik Hossain yesterday filed a defamation case against National Board of Revenue (NBR) chairman Mohammed Abdul Mazid with Sadar Judicial Magistrate Court here.
Advocate Sadik alleged that the NBR chairman in a recent interview with a leading Bangla daily passed indecent comments to income tax lawyers.
Judicial magistrate Ferdous Wahid received the case and ordered the concerned authorities to submit a report after an investigation to him by November 27. The court also set November 27 as date of hearing.
