60 sacks of govt rice seized: 1held
Police yesterday seized 60 sacks of government rice from a shop of Md Jahangir Hossain at Rahimanagar Bazar in Kochua upazila and arrested the rice trader.
On information, Kochua upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Firoj Sarker rushed to the spot taking project implementation officer (PIO) with him. They detected the rice in 60 sacks. Later, police seized the rice and arrested the trader, said Kochua officer-in-charge Yusuf Siddiquee.
Jahangir confessed to police about involvement of his employee Bachchu in the wrongdoing.
