Lightning kills 3 in Manikganj, Rajshahi
Lightning killed three people in Manikganj and Rajshahi districts in two days.
Our Manikganj Correspondent reports: Two people were killed in Singair and Saturia upazilas as thunderbolt struck them Sunday evening.
Ali Mia, 65, of Shimulia village in Saturia upazila and Rupali Begum, 30, mother of two sons of Kashta village in Singair upazila were killed on the spot when they were working at their houses at about 6:00 pm, witnesses and police said.
Our RU Correspondent reports: A housewife was killed and two others were injured by lightning in Bagmara upazila Sunday night.
Salina Begum, 28, wife of Alaf Uddin of Lalpur village was killed on the spot and two others sustained injuries when a thunderbolt struck them at Alaf's house at about 8:00pm.
Injured Jamena, 7,daughter of Zahidur Rahman and Jahangir Ali, 27, son of Yanus Rahman of the same village were admitted to Bagmara Upazila Health Complex.
