Later, on advice of the administration, one of the factions shifted the venue, party sources said. ASM Feroz was elected lawmaker from the constituency in 1979, 1986, 1991 and 1996. Feroz Alam stayed several years in Japan and on return was involved in politcs. “Most party men are with me”, Feroz Aman claimed while talking tot this correspondent yesterday. “He could not develop the area though he was elected MP four times. This has decreased his acceptability among people and party men, he claimed. Refuting the allegation ASM Feroz said he tried to develop the area. “My party was in the opposition in parliament during my three terms as lawmaker. But I tried to develop my area during 1996-2001 when my party was in power”, he said. A few party men may be annoyed with me but most party men including grassroots workers are with me, he claimed.
