2 BNP factions hold separate meetings in C'nawabganj
Two factions of BNP here organised two separate meetings yesterday to realise five-point demand of the party.
Held at two venues, one at Saheed Satu Hall and the other at Chapainawabganj Club auditorium, a faction was led by district BNP general secretary and former lawmaker Harunur Rashid while the other faction was led by Amir Hossain, organising secretary of district unit of the party. Rashid's loyalists organised the meeting at Saheed Satu Hall which was presided by Sadar upazila unit president of the party Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papia.
Among others, BNP joint secretary Goyeswar Chandra Roy, former lawmaker Md Sahjahan and former lawmaker Harunur Rashid were present at the meeting.
Amir Hossain's loyalists organised their meeting at Chapainawabganj club auditorium. The meeting was presided by Shawkat Ali, vice president of upazila unit of the party.
Amog others, Amir Hossain, Mosidul Haque Masud, general secretary of poura unit of the party, Nasir uddin, general secretary of Shramik Dal, Rafiqul Islam Bulbul, president of upazila unit of Jubo Dal, Abu Taher Khokon, president of district unit of Jasas and Anwar Hossain, president of district Chhatra Dal addressed.
