Leaders and activists of the Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) yesterday submitted a memorandum to the college principal demanding exemplary punishment to Shibir cadres for pasting posters on campus walls on Monday portraying BCL men as terrorists. Shibir cadres pasted the posters under banner of 'General Students of Rajshahi Medical College' and displayed photos of clash between BCL and JCD activists on the campus on September 13. RMC unit president of BCL Dewan Mehedi Hassan Tomal, secretary Bappi and BCL activists Lalon and Mamun were present during submission of the memorandum. BCL men alleged that Shibir had vitiated the congenial academic atmosphere on the campus by their misdeed. They demanded immediate ban on Jamaat-Shibir politics. They also sought security of their leaders and activists on the campus.
