Bombs, bomb making materials recovered
Police yesterday recovered two bombs and bomb making materials from the house of Nurul Islam of Sarulia village in Tala upazila.
Nurul Islam is one of the accused in the sensational Dhandia Union Parishad (UP) chairman Arifuzzaman Chanchal murder case in Tala upazila and is absconding after the murder.
Chanchal, a member of district BNP convening committee, was abducted by the miscreants and strangled early this month.
Police arrested four persons--Zobeda Khatun, Shawkat Ali, Rabiul Islam and Humayun Kabir-- on October 12 in connection with the murder and took them on remand.
The bombs were recovered on confessions of the accused during remand, Patkelghata thana officer-in-charge Kazi Daud said.
