BNP Pabna district unit leaders have demanded nomination of Shamsur Rahman Shimul Bishwas, a lawyer of Khaleda Zia, as four-party alliance candidate in Pabna-5 (Pabna Sadar upazila) constituency for the upcoming parliament election. BNP leaders made the demand in a view exchanging meeting with the journalists at PCCS auditorium at Pabna on Sunday night. “The four-party alliance nominated Jamaat leader Moulana Abdus Subhan for this constitution in 2001 and BNP activists worked sincerely, leading to his winning in that election. This time we demand a BNP man as candidate from here,” Habibur Rahman Tota, secretary of Pabna district unit BNP, told this correspondent over phone yesterday.
