SUST issues show cause on 27 BCL men
The authorities of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) yesterday issued show cause notice on 27 activists of two rival factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League on charge of attacking opponents during the last few days.
They have been asked to reply in a week, Proctor Golam Ali Haider Chowdhury said.
Against the backdrop of sporadic clashes between the rival factions during the last two weeks, the Sust authorities on Tuesday banned procession, rally, human chain, seizure, blockade etc on the campus till December 4.
The authorities said the ban was needed to help holding Sust examinations including admission tests on November 29 and 30 smoothly.
However, all the student organisations have protested the ban.
