3 'outlaws' hurt while making bombs
Three criminals allegedly belonging to an outlawed party were injured in blasts during making of bombs at remote Jagannathpur village in Daulatpur upazila in the district on Saturday evening.
The injured are Mirza 30, Mirazul 25, and Jahangir 30, of Jagannathpur village in the upazila.
The bombs, which they were making at the house of Mirza, blasted at about 6:00pm leaving the three injured, police said, adding that the three belong to an outlawed party.
Hearing the sound of blast, people from nearby areas rushed to the spot but the injured criminals fled the scene, warning locals not to disclose their names to police, locals said.
Police rushed to the spot and recovered splinters and some bomb making materials and arrested Mirza's wife Anjuara Khatun for interrogation.
Police said the collected ingredients will be sent for test to determine there strength.
