Satkhira college students vow to uproot graft

About 1,200 students of Satkhira Government College vowed to uproot corruption from society yesterday. They took vow at a rally organised here to mark the first founding anniversary of Muktangan, an organisation of students of the college. Muktangan convenor Emran Kabir Khan presided the meeting while Satkhira Government College vice-principal Prof Abdul Hamid was present as chief guest. Students who are future leaders of the country, also took oath to curb the menace of drug abuse and drug peddling from the society. They vowed to launch a campaign to create awareness among people against corruption and drug menace. They urged both the teachers, students as well as youths to play an active role to fight corruption and uproot drug menace. They asked people to elect competent and honest candidates in the upcoming parliamentary election as it is a precondition to uproot corruption from society. They said they want to make the next generation aware about corruption.
