Children
Professor S M A Faiz, Vice Chancellor, Dhaka University while inaugurating a two-day 'Teaching seminar on child rights' recently urged all to come forward to protect the basic rights of children, which include right to education. Terming children as the future of the country, Prof. Faiz emphasized the need for resolving the problems being faced by them.
While fully endorsing the above observations and suggestions made by the learned VC of Dhaka University, I would like to pin-point a fact that the children also reserve the right to enjoy a fair treatment from their elders, be it our society lords, VIPs, or their school teachers.
Often, I have noticed that some people behave very roughly with children. This should not be the practice!
