Rajuk's procedures

Rajuk has invited applications for allotting some plots under Uttara Phase III and Purbanchal new residential areas. It is certainly good news to many of us and hence, many prospective purchasers have been struggling to buy forms from the selected banks under great difficulties and submit the applications after completion. The whole process is very time-consuming and frustrating due to time limit and cumbersome procedures to submit within a short period of time and limited banking facilities. However, thanks to Rajuk for allowing us to collect a form from the Internet, but an applicant has to pay Tk 1,000 as cost of form in the designated bank branches. We the general people with high hopes are interested to submit applications and we have been trying to fulfil all those requirements as stipulated. I would like to make a request to the Rajuk authorities to insert a clause of refunding initially deposited amount for those unsuccessful applicants by introducing a simple method instead of the present long and tiring procedures, where an unsuccessful applicant has to move from desk to desk to get his or her initially deposited money back and it takes two to three days or even more. The Rajuk authorities could return the deposited money of the unsuccessful applicants through bank transfer to the respective bank accounts of the unsuccessful applicants, instead of putting the applicants under stress and asking them to apply for refund and visit the Rajuk office several times. I therefore suggest that the Rajuk include a clause in the application form, where applicants could put the bank account number where he or she wants her initial deposit to refund immediately after the allotment order is published, if unsuccessful. This will help to develop trust, better understating and an easy refunding method.
