Kalaroa voters 'indifferent' to election

People of Kalaroa upazila are now hesitant to cast vote in the upcoming election. This is because of breach of trust by political leaders who promised to them several times to construct Khordo Bridge on the River Kabodak before each and every election but later forgot the same. Former BNP leader Habibul Islam Habib who was elected a lawmaker in Satkhira-1 (Tala-Kalaroa) constituency in last election is also contesting this year. Like previous years, this time also he promised to construct the bridge, said Khordo Bridge Implementation committee convenor Raju Ahmed. Earlier, AL candidate late Syed Kamal Bakht was elected a lawmaker in the constituency in 1996 election. He too promised people to construct the bridge but later forgot it after election.
