ACC will be strengthened if elected, says Hasina
Promises industrial park in Pabna while speaking at video conference

Awami League (AL) chief Sheikh Hasina has said if voted to power she will strengthen the Anti Corruption Commission and take steps to ensure accountability at all levels to reduce corruption. “If AL goes to the power, we will strengthen anti-corruption movement and allow the Anti Corruption Commission to work independently and impartially”, she said while speaking at a video conference held at Pabna Town Hall Thursday night. She also replied to questions. Terming unemployment problem is the root of all evils, Hasina said her government will try to ensure work for at least one person in a family by setting up industries and reopening the closed ones during the last seven years. The AL chief also promised to create an industrial park in Pabna and revitalise all export processing zones in the country to create employment opportunities. She criticised the four-party alliance government for closing so many mills and factories including the Adamjee Jute Mill and several jute mills in Khulna-Jessore region. At the conference, the AL chief introduced AL nominee in Pabna-5 constituency Md. Golam Faruk Prince to people and urged them to vote for 'boat' symbol to build a prosperous Bangladesh with the spirit of the Liberation War. “December is the month of victory. So, in this month, cast your vote for 'boat' and ensure another victory by conquering hunger and poverty through building a technology based digital Bangladesh”. Senior vice president of Pabna district AL Md. Saidul Haque Chunnu chaired the video conference.
