Candidates vow to hold peaceful election in Bhola
In a show of unity, five candidates vying for the Bhola-5 constituency stood on the same platform and vowed for helping hold a peaceful election and working for development of the district.
The candidates including from BNP-led four-party alliance and Awami League-led grand alliance nominees expressed identical views that they would work together for protecting the district from river erosion, setting up new industries and resisting post-election violence to make the district a model for others.
They made the pledge at a function organised by Nagorik Samaj at Kabi Mozammel Haque Town Hall.
Four-party alliance candidate Barrister Andalib Rahman Partha, grand alliance candidate Advocate Yousuf Hossain Humayun, Islami Andolon candidate Mohammad Anisul Haque, Gano front candidate Krishak Mohammad Sadek and independent candidate Tapan Cakrabarti were the candidates.
