Barisal medical college hospital interns on strike

The striking interns however placed a six-point demand to the authorities, said S M Ramiz Ahamad, president of intern doctors association at the medical college hospital.
The demands include reducing number of visitors, ensuring safety and security of doctors, preventing entrance of male attendants and visitors in gynecology ward.
SBMCH Director Dr. Mosaddek Hossain, when contacted, said he assured the interns of meeting their logical demands but they continued the strike without any prior notice.
Health services at SBMCH mainly depends on the 120 interns there, sources said.
