Earlier, on Saturday night hundreds of BCL activists staged angry demonstration in front of Mother Bux hall as some BCL activists found Shibir leaflet and red ink cross symbol letter in their respective rooms. Some BCL activists tried to attack at Mother Bux and Amir Ali hall but Shibir activists locked the main gates of the halls and took position inside. BCL activists damaged Shibir and BNP posters, banners and bill boards at different halls on the campus that created panic in other boys dormitories. When contacted, BCL General Secretary Ayeen Uddin told newsman, “BCL activists held victory rally on the campus to celebrate BCL's founding anniversary. BCL activists did not drive away Shibir men and occupy their rooms.” “Additional police have been deployed on the campus to avoid further clashes,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Motiher Zone) Zahangir Hossain said. “We asked the student organisations to ensure their coexistence on the campus,” University Proctor Enamul Haque said.
