Protima Rani lone woman candidate in Gaibandha

Protima Rani, the lone woman candidate for the post of upazila chairman in seven upazilas in Gaibandha district, is now busy conducting door-to-door campaign at remote villages in Sunderganj upazila. Contesting for the post with eight male candidates from the upazila, she said she would work for social and economic uplift of village women. She has been in social movement for realisation of women's rights for quite a long time. Her husband Durlav Chandra Mandol is the chairman of Kancipara union parishad.
