4 Meherpur BNP leaders expelled

Four district-level leaders of BNP were expelled from party for their anti-party activities during Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election. District BNP senior vice president Ilias Hossain, vice presidents Ansarul Haq and Hafizur Rahman Hafi and freedom fighters affairs secretary Shamsul Alam Sona were expelled as they worked for Jamaat candidate Samiruddin instead of 4-party alliance nominee candidate and former BNP lawmaker Masud Arun in Meherpur-1 constituency. The decision was taken at the party's district committee meeting held at BNP office with its president Masud Arun in the chair. Newly-elected BNP lawmaker Amjad Hossain was also present.
