Bogra AL leader accused of grabbing house

Staff Correspondent, Bogra
Lawyer Tripti Rahman has brought allegation of illegally occupying her house against Bogra district Awami League Vice President Rafiqul Islam Bhuiyan, his son Mahfuzul Islam Romel and some other people. In a written allegation submitted at Bogra Reporters Forum auditorium yesterday afternoon, Tripti, a member of Awami Ainjibi Parishad, said Romel and other criminals occupied her house at gunpoint on Friday midnight. The attackers beat up the residents of the house and forced them out of it, she said. Tripti Rahman, who filed a case with Bogra Sadar Police Station yesterday, mentioned that she is the wife of Matiur Rahman Mintu, owner of the house. Mahfuzul Islam Romel, however, denied Tripti Rahman's allegations and said they resisted Tripti and her associates' attempt to illegally occupy their house yesterday morning.
