Minister assures smooth power supply

Uninterrupted supply of electricity will be ensured from 11:00pm to 6:00am for smooth irrigation during boro season . Newly appointed Minister for Ministry of Water Resources Ramesh Chandra Sen said this while addressing a reception accorded to him yesterday at the training centre of Eco-Social Development Organisation (ESDO), a local NGO. ESDO organised the reception ceremony which was chaired by Shafiqul Islam. Smooth supply of power will be ensured to boost up paddy production in the current season, the minister said. He said the government is pledge-bound to reduce prices of fertiliser and diesel. The government will ensure supply of fertiliser and other agricultural inputs, he assured. The government is committed to reduce prices of rice and essential commodities, he said.
