BCL chases Chhatra Moitree for sheltering JCD man

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists yesterday chased activists of Chhatra Moitree for sheltering a Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activist injured by BCL men on Rajshahi University (RU) campus. Earlier on Tuesday night, BCL activists severely beat up a JCD activist, accusing him of torturing BCL activists on the campus during the rule of BNP-Jamaat government. Afterwards, the BCL group staged a showdown on the campus and started hunting for JCD leaders and activists. Finding injured JCD activist Asadur Rahman under the shelter of Chhatra Moitree men yesterday morning, BCL activists got angry with them. BCL activists alleged that most of the Chhatra Moitree activists were outsiders and they carried sharp weapons in front of police. Later at a protest meeting, BCL activists said they will resist Chhatra Moitree if they shelter activists of JCD or Shibir on the campus.
