Constable hurt in clash with gamblers:15 held

A constable received head injury in a gambler-police clash at a remote shoal village of Darigaon in Nilokkha union under Raipura upazila Thursday night. The injured is Saidur Rahman, a constable of Raipura Police Station. The clash ensued when police asked gamblers to stop gambling in guise of staging a drama. Police hurled 17 rounds of tear gas shells to bring the situation under control. Raipura Police Station officer-in-chargeEmdad Hossain said 15 persons were arrested for their involvement with the incident and they were sent to court.
