Ex-BNP MP Hena's movable property attached

Following a court order, police attached movable property of former BNP lawmaker Abu Hena from his house in Bagmara upzila Friday evening. A court in Dhaka ordered the attachment as Hena failed to appear before court in connection with a Tk 20 lakh extortion case, police said. Earlier, the court issued notices to him repeatedly to appear before court but he ignored the order time and again, they said. Nazrul Islam of Deopara in Bagmara lodged the case with Bagmara police in August 2007. Later, Ramna police in Dhaka recorded the case as the incident occurred there. The attached property included a cot, a table and a dressing table.
