Robbers kill shop employee in Thakurgaon

Robbers killed an employee of a wholesale shop at Amtoli rail crossing at Shibgonj village under Sadar upazila on Thursday night and took away Tk 5 lakh from him. The victim was identified as Nazrul Islam, 26, son of Enamul Haque of Sugar Mill Colony under the upazila. Police and locals said Nazrul, came under attack by a gang of robbers at the rail crossing while he was returning the shop in Thakurgaon road area at around 10:00pm after distributing goods at different markets in the district in a pick up van. The gang stabbed Nazrul in the chest and other parts of the body, took away Tk 5 lakh from him. Nazrul died on the spot.
