Tendons of BNP activist severed

Tendons of legs of a BNP activist were cut allegedly by Awami League (AL) activists in Protyasha residential area here yesterday. The victim is Sohel Rana, 26, son of Nurul Islam Sarder of Gallamari Darga Road in Batiaghata Police Station. Witnesses said AL activists Milon, Kanchan and Uzzal picked up Rana from Nirala residential area in Khulna Sadar Police Station at about 10-30am. They took him to Protyasha residential area and cut tendons of his legs. Later, he was admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital from where his father shifted him to a clinic for 'security' reason. Confirming the incident, police said none was arrested in this connection.
