Export and Import Association of Akhaura land port in Brahmanbaria withdrew their indefinite strike yesterday after BDR sector commander of Comilla sector assured them of taking steps to release the truck driver, his helper and the seized truck. Truck driver Hafiz Udding and helper Babul Mia were going to Agartala land port of India from Akhaura land port on Wednesday with the stone-laden truck with valid documents. On the way, a team of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) seized their truck and arrested them. On hearing the news, a section of the businessmen belonging to the Export and Import Association stopped the loading and unloading of Indian goods at Akhaura land port.
