College teacher dies falling from tree

A teacher of Birganj Women's College died as he fell down from a coconut tree at village Kumarpur in Birganj upazila yesterday afternoon, police and family sources said. The dead is Birganj Women's College lecturer Basanta Kumar Roy, 44, son of Bhabesh Chandra Roy of the aforesaid village. He climbed up the tree for some coconuts. All on a sudden, he slipped through his fingers and died on the spot.
