Diesel traders Anwar Hossain, 35, and Abdul Gafur, 40, of Motherganj union under Kachakata Police Station in Negeswari upazila were going to Chilmari oil depot by a shallow engine-driven boat on the Brahmaputra on Sunday. They were carrying about five lakh taka and 61 blank drums to buy diesel.
As the boat reached near Moshaler shoal of Begumganj union in Ulipur upazila at about 3:30 pm, a gang of robbers numbering six intercepted them.
