Stray bullet kills cop

A police sub-inspector (SI) was killed when a bullet accidentally came out of a loaded pistol of his colleague and hit him in Chuadanga yesterday. The dead is Anisur Rahman, sub-inspector of Chuadanga Sadar Police Station. According to police, a team of law enforcers led by SI Anisur Rahman went to raid Muslimpara area of the town at about 9:00am to nab criminals. Liton, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of the same police station, also accompanied Anisur. After the operation, both were returning to the police station in a rickshaw. As Anusur took the pistol from Liton, suddenly a bullet went off and hit Anisur on the forehead. Anisur fell to the ground and died on way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
