Tiger kills one in Sundarbans

A Royal Bengal tiger killed a golpata, (nipa palm) collector in Kachhikata canal area in the Sundarbans yesterday morning. The tiger swooped on Yunus Ali, 27, son of Shawkat Ali Gazi of village Kalikapur under Kaliganj upazila, while he was collecting nipa palm. Yunus went to the forest along with six others to collect nipa palm. The body was recovered from deep forest.
