52 houses gutted in Thakurgaon

At least 52 houses were gutted in fire in two villages Friday afternoon and early yesterday. In first incident, 40 houses were gutted at Gilabari village under Sadar upazila on Friday. Fire Service sources said the fire broke out at Sudhir's house due to an electric short circuit and soon engulfed the adjacent houses. In another incident, 12 houses were gutted in a devastating fire at Turutbari village under Sadar upazila early yesterday. Fire Service and local sources said the fire that broke out at about 12:30am destroyed all 12 houses of the village.
