RU teacher gets death threat

A teacher of Rajshahi University (RU) yesterday received death threat from an unknown caller. RU Social Work Department chairman Dr Fakhrul Islam, also an associate professor, received the threat from an admission seeker under 2008-2009 session who told him to either get him admitted at his department or face death. Dr Fakhrul told newsmen that he had filed a general diary (GD) with Motiher Police Station in this connection. He also said to have submitted a written complaint to the university proctor as well as its higher authorities. Contacted, RU proctor Prof Zakaria confirmed the incident saying they asked police to take necessary steps.
