<i>Woman assaults Rab women</i>

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a woman for assaulting two female Rab members at the temporary camp of Rab-7 at Chittagong International Trade Fair (CITF) ground on Sunday. The arrestee, Farzana Khan, 30, is wife of Shahbaz Ahmed, captain of a ship and resident of city's Khushi area. Sources said one Mohsinul Haque complained to the on-duty Rab at the CITF camp that a woman assaulted him with sandal on the fair ground at around 6.30pm. Female Rab members at the camp rushed to the spot and brought Farzana to the camp for questioning. During interrogation, Farzana got angry and allegedly misbehaved with the Rab members. At one stage, she slapped Rab member Rita Biswas. Another member Sultana was also assaulted as she was trying to resist Farzana, said a press release of Rab-7 yesterday evening. Rab-7 then arrested Farzana on charge of barring the Rab members from performing duty. Later, she was handed over to Kotwali police after filing of a case.
