Widow sues 3 rajakars in Rangpur
A widow has filed a case against three alleged rajakars for killing her husband during the liberation war in 1971.
Tobiran Nesa alleged that Abdul Mojid, Sultan Mahmud alias Dulal, Mojibor Rahman, and Anwar Ali killed her husband Abdul Bari alias Bhola, a freedom fighter, of village Shalmara Birampur.
The judicial magistrate of court no 8 directed Mitha-pukur police to register the case and take necessity action in this connection.
The complainant alleged that the three accused hailing from the same village used to enquire about Bari and his whereabouts during liberation war. When her husband came home on November 27, they caught him in the evening and took him near a mazar at Boiragiganj and shot him dead on the spot.
Tabiran said as the political condition of the country was not favourable, she did not lodge any case against the killers.
“Now, I think time has come to seek justice,” she said.
