Lightning kills three

Three people were killed by lightning here yesterday. The dead are Nazrul Sheikh,14, Rubel Sheikh,10, two brothers and son of Samshu Sheikh of village Arshad Matubber Dangi under Char Madhabdia union in Sadar upazila and Kuddus Sheikh,55, a farmer of Boailpota village under Dangi union in Nagarkanda upazila. Nazrul and Rubel, after being struck by a thunderbolt, were admitted to Faridpur General Hospital at about 7 am where on-duty doctors declared them dead. Another victim, Kuddus Sheikh, was hit by lightning while he was working at a jute field at about 11:00am. He later died at the hospital.
