They clash even at festival

At least five BCL men were wounded in a factional clash at Basanti Puja festival at Borobari in Bochaganj upazila yesterday, police and party sources said. Three of the wounded were identified as Shanker, Ahad and Tuhin. A feud developed in the evening over a raffle draw lottery at the puja mandap (stage). At one stage, it turned into a violent clash. The clashing groups equipped with sharp weapons including hockey sticks and wooden sticks attacked each other leaving five people injured. Police and local senior AL leaders rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
