Cop's arms 'missing'

A pistol and 16 bullets of a police official of Patkelghata Police Station in Tala upazila 'mysteriously went missing' on Saturday night. Satkhira Superintendent of Police (SP) Abu Sufian yesterday formed a probe team led by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abdul Hannan to look into the incident. A three-member police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Amirul Islam went to arrest a drug peddler at village Garerdanga in Tala upazila at about 10 pm. When they returned to Patkelghata Police Station Amirul found that he had lost his pistol and the bullets.
